Markus may well be back, but in the meantime it's sensible to continue in the assumption he wont return. He left after being ganked in pvp and as far as we could tell there were no other reasons for it.
I made up Pers and Quentin to soc officers as it completes a good knowledge base of folk driving the soc, i hope this doesnt disappoint anyone. i dont see any need to have any more officers for the time being.
there was some good chat about pulling together for a functioning soc economy last night and i would like to get that off the ground. If anyone wants to lead on that just say 'aye', i can split off a forum part just for that.
In addition it would be nice to have someone in charge of all things tactical and PvP. A bit like a raid leader but someone who is good on the mechanics of the game and can direct us in battle. I'm also open to volunteers on that score
At some stage i want to revisit the society leadership. I'm pretty sure im going to be leaving for AoC in a couple of months so someone will need to take over at the helm in preparation for that. I've done my fair share of leading guilds and such in the past and its fairly hard work and rewarding when it goes right. Hopefully we can get a solid infrastructure in place so that any leavers dont take with them too much of the society if that makes sense. There are plenty of folk here with experience too. If someone has any strong desires just fire on and let us know and we can discuss it all as friends.
Wishing us good luck and success in the future.

Good enough for me, let me know what you need for the economy setup, you've got my full support whichever way you wish to take it matey.
PvP wise i think we are all going to be developing for a bit, at least until level cap when it may be more serious. In the meantime i think it comes down to whether or not the soc wants to put efforts into contention ratios's in key places and a server wide approach to coordinated playing. We could put thoughts on this on hold till our numbers grow. I probably should input into the direction but i dont know how it works very well yet.
I've also been toying with the idea of having a dedicated recruitment officer who would act as a first contact support for new comers. Going to see if anyone likes the idea of that. Worked really well in my last guild taking a personal approach to mentoring rather than invite, pass to classleader, who drops it. |
