Since with the name change and the server connection we have adopted Bartholemew Roberts as our themed and esteemed inspiration, i'd like to suggest we try to stay close to his designs.
His flag was a chap standing on two skulls, i'll link later. His ships, named Royal Fortune or fortunes of some sort im going to investigate, apparently the guy liked to capture like 25 at a time and drive around the Caribbean killing and toruring the French. I like him already

after a good 45 minutes looking there were no references to colour except black. The reason was that Roberts coined this as he hated the caribbean or something. His ships werent refered too particularly well either, other than the prefered pirate vessel was a sloop and his fortunes were 42 gun ships (including swivels?) Basically i think they were default colours.
Therefore we need to think about colour themes in a different way. Red and black was a good suggestion anyway, especially as he used black for his flags and liked a red velvet doubloon, wore red feathers and generally liked the colours red and maroon. |
